I had a great time on The Pitch recently reviewing the company videopath along with Seth Levine. Videopath is coming to life in an interesting time, many brands are moving their marketing in-house through tools such as TubeMogul, Discuss, Zemanta, GlimpzIt, Marketo, and Videopath plays nicely into that trend. One area that I bring up is the timing of their solution, are the consumers of the brands that are willing to adopt this technology ready to interact with the brands in this way? I'm not so certain - the move to video is also coming with a desire for more transparency from brands and social validation. Perhaps part of the solution is building these things into the video player so there are both brand directed interactions and consumer directed interactions.
